Hygiene Control

In today’s era, need for infection control has never been greater. We dentists and our supporting staff of clinic are the most concerned about taking each and every precaution about transmission of such infections. Controlling bacterial contamination for transmission of such infections through sterilization is a vital and a customary process at our clinic.

we always believe in quality treatment in dentistry. We strongly follow the standards that match dental surgery standards in the United Kingdom, USA and Australia. We strictly follow Instrument sterilization protocols and use the latest and best dental materials available in the business today.

Our sterilization protocol is regularly maintaining and checked by Tejas Labs in technical consultation with University of Louisville, School of Dentistry. click here for more details

As per the risk of transmission of infections all our critical, semi-critical and even non-critical instruments are equally and vigilantly sterilized (High pressure steam AUTOCLAVEING) after each and every use on patient. Non heat stable equipment not meant for reuse, are disposed of in a controlled environment. ( BMW- En-cler ,Surat ) . All the High-speed handpieces, Low-speed handpieces and all components used intraorally and reusable are independently and properly sterilized in a controlled environment as per their manufacturers’ instructions.

The sterilization protocol taking place at our clinic includes:

  • Autoclaving of all hand instruments thrice (3) a day on timely basis.
  • All Planned Surgical instruments and scrubs (for Dental Implant, Direct Sinus lift Surgery and Jaw Surgery) are autoclaving 2 times on a day of surgery just before surgery.
  • All Non-Planned Surgical instruments are packed in a sterile package and autoclaved, so our patients are reassured whenever a new sterile pack is opened in front of them just before the procedure.
  • Sterilization of dental burs used to remove decay from tooth using Disinfectant and autoclaving after every use.
  • The suction tips used to eject saliva are customarily disposed after each and every use on patient.
  • Files used for root canal treatments are sterilised in glass bead sterilizer and 5% Sodium Hypochlorite solution
  • Strictly we used disposal needles and syringes to give Local anaesthesia and it will dispose after use on every patient.
  • New sterilized gloves are used for each and every patient by the dentist as well as by the supporting staff.
  • Dental chairs, switch of focus light, instrument tray, handpieces, air n water spray are wiped with disinfectant cotton for complete disinfection.
  • Movement of Dental Chair (Upwards, downwards, forward and backward) is control by Dentist Foot to prevent contamination of hand during procedure or surgery
  • Dental Chair Light is control by sensor so no need for hand touch, to prevent contamination of hand during procedure or surgery
  • The working platform of the clinic is continuously and timely cleansed with Disinfectant.
  • Disposal of all dental waste is done in a controlled environment in different color bags depending upon infectious, non-infectious, dry and wet type of wastes to ensure sterilization within working space. (BMW, EN-CLER* Surat)
